My 4 Day Trip to Vancouver Island

Day 1- Nanaimo
1st stop visiting my friend in Nanaimo…
1. Sea plane to the island… highly recommend! Quick/ easy way to get to the island. (Note, not for people that don’t like flying) … PS I got to see 🐋 from my flight
2. Nanoose Bay Hike… a beautiful short hike with a swing at the top!
3. Lantzville… a post hike stop by the water
4. Pipers Lagoon Park… evening sunset beach walk… to see a small fishing community, flowers💐 crabs 🦀 and a lot of oysters 🦪.
5. Rusted Rake Brewing… highly recommend great food and Atmosphere (Nanoose Bay), we shared the blueberry salad with brisket and the appetizer salmon sushi.
Day 2- Heading north to Cumberland
1. Englishman River Falls and a short hike around
2. Errington- Little Mountain (lookout Point)
3. The charming town of Cumberland
4. Lunch at Biblio Tacos- the tuna taco 🤤, healthy bowl at Laneway coffee and pick up a delicious treat Boulder Hill Bakery (best gluten free brownie ever and the raspberry and rhubarb cake… so delicious)
Day 3- Vancouver
1. I caught the BC ferry to the mainland. I love sitting on top, taking in the view.
2. Walking across the Burrard Bridge
3. The wild flower gardens in Kitsilano
4. Drinks and chats at Kits- Batch
5. Sunsets and a beautiful flower filled walk to my favourite beach at the bottom of Point Grey Park
6. A delicious dinner at New Fuji! An Asian Fusion tapas restaurant… the flavours🤤. Also not seen… my Blueberry Acai bowl from Body Energy Club… a must! abd coffee from Their Their.
Day 4 Victoria
1. My day begin with meeting my friend on Granville, having a delicious almond croissant and coffee at Small Victory Bakery. Then heading to the skytrain to catch my ferry to Victoria.
We walked past Douglas Park where we got to see 3 baby owls 🦉 perched in tree
2. Views from the ferry top of a beautiful snowy mountain 🏔️. (If you know which mountain this is please let me know). The ferry ride was eventful as we stopped to rescue a trapped sail boat
3. Victoria- it does take a while to get here… but the sun was out and I was ready to explore. I stayed at the Magnolia Hotel Downtown (highly recommend), I dropped my bags and started to explore.
4. I had lunch at Murchies… and got a black currant iced tea, walked around china town and the headed to the waterfront
5. Beacon Hill Park is beautiful which many little pockets to explore
6. Next stop was Fishermans Warf, where ice cream was a must. (I had the sea salt caramel)
7. Then for dinner I waited in the long line for fish and chips at Red Fish Blue Fish ( it was worth the wait)
