This summer I created a bucket list of places I wanted to explore and discover, now that I had a car to do so. I woke up early, I love getting to beach towns early in the morning.. and began my drive.
My first stop was to find a coffee shop, get a drink and do some journalling.
The Dizzy Bird Coffee shop.... the line up is worth the wait. I got a dirty chai and a GF raspberry thumbprint cookie, both were incredible.
Next, I headed down the main street (Albert St.) towards the beach checking out shops and the beautiful old homes that lined it

.
A few of my favourite shops:
A cute book store Larkspur Books
Unique and inspiring fashion Lac Boutique
For my wellness and natural product lovers Re:mind Wellness General Store and Spa
If you like boutique brand foods and different combinations like lemonade-flavoured cake, then I highly recommend picking up something from Little Black Dog Culinary Market and Catering.
Pick up something for a picnic at the beach or Fairy Lake.
If you are into art I would check out the art school... or one of the towns many events. When I went it was a Saturday and they had an art Market, a used furniture sale at one of the churches and an Indigenous artisan market at the Muesum.
The last thing I would highly recommend is Fairy Lake. It has a small smooth walking path around the perimeter, that I recommend walking. (I was wearing slip-on shoes and was fine). It is the home to many turtles and you just may spot some on your walk.
